Thanks for the article. Zuboff’s book has influenced my thinking on this topic quite a lot, though I disagree with her on some details. For instance, she ignores the great amount of uncertainty in joining disparate datasets (e.g., the problem of “data fusion”). I am working on “translating” some of her ideas into terms that data scientists might better understand (she writes from a strong Marxian perspective most engineers would not be familiar with).
