Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated! You may be right that the tone of the article switched when it got to Ayn Rand. Perhaps I should have saved that for a separate post. In any case, I still believe that giving engineers and data scientists reasons for rejecting Ayn Rand’s objectivism as a viable ethics is possibly one of the first tasks we must take on. I feel like I’ve succeeded if reading that part brings any Ayn Rand fans to question their beliefs.
